# Update a sender address

`PATCH /api/v1/email/senders/{id}`

Change a sender's display name, the only field that changes: a different mailbox is a new sender. Requires the `domains:write` capability.

## Parameters

## Responses

| Status | Description |
| --- | --- |
| 200 | The sender. |
| 400 | The body isn't JSON. |
| 401 | Missing or invalid API key. |
| 403 | Insufficient scope. |
| 404 | Sender not found. |
| 422 | A bad `display_name`, or an unknown key. |
