# Make a brand kit the default

`POST /api/v1/brand-kits/{id}/set-default`

Make a profile the default: the one agents write with unless told otherwise. Takes no body. Requires the `branding:write` capability.

## Responses

| Status | Description |
| --- | --- |
| 200 | The profile. |
| 400 | The body isn't JSON. |
| 401 | Missing or invalid API key. |
| 403 | Insufficient scope (`branding:write` is opt-in on a key). |
| 404 | Brand kit not found. |
| 409 | Another change to the default ran at the same time; retry. |
| 422 | A body or an unknown query key was sent. |
| 429 | Too many Brand Kit changes; retry after the wait. |
