Migration questions

How do I migrate from Resend to Unitpost?

Open Settings → Migration in your Unitpost dashboard, paste a read-only Resend API key, and the Migration Assistant fetches an inventory of what it can move: contacts, segments, topics, templates, domains, suppressions, and webhook endpoints. You review a preview of every item, then accept. Nothing is written to your workspace until you do, and the whole pass takes about 4 minutes.

Which email providers can Unitpost migrate from?

Resend, SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark, Brevo, and Loops. Each connector reads through that provider's own API with a key you supply, so no CSV export or manual re-entry is involved.

Does migrating change anything at my current provider?

No. The migration is strictly read-only against your old provider — it lists and reads, never writes or deletes. A read-only API key is enough, and your existing sending keeps working throughout, so you can run both side by side until you're ready to cut over.

Do my unsubscribes and bounces carry over?

Yes, and this is the part you should not skip. Bounces, complaints, and unsubscribes are imported into Unitpost's suppression list, so someone who opted out at your old provider stays opted out here. Migrating without suppressions is how senders accidentally re-mail complainers and damage a domain reputation they spent years building.

Do I need to re-verify my sending domain?

Yes. Domains are recreated in Unitpost with fresh DKIM keys, because DKIM private keys never leave the provider that generated them — no service can export them. You get a guided DNS checklist with copy-paste records, and your current provider keeps sending normally until the new records verify, so there's no downtime window.

What does migrating cost?

Nothing. Migration is included on every plan, including the free one — there's no per-contact or per-import charge, and unlimited contacts means a large list doesn't change your bill. You pay only for what you send.
